Hi,
1) Can anyone outline the difference between Database Patching and Application Patching?
2) What are the patches applied in Database(oPatch ONLY ONE TYPE???) and Application(one off patch, family patch, ...)?
3) Are patching steps same at Database level and Application level?

Hi Arvin,
Yes, we do have two patches options Opatch for database tier patches and adpatch only for apps tier patches only.
Application patching is different then database tier patchings, steps are also different.
Shall i write the patching(Adpatch, Opatch) steps?

Hi Arvin,
Read the readme file carefully and follow it hence
stop the complete apps tier in apps case stop db tier plus listener as well and invoke Opatch with proper oraInventory path.
