Can some one please share a document which explains India Localization period closing activities. It would be very helpful if some one can provide that ASAP.

If Its R12- try searching for "open account balance" instead of APTB. If its 11i, then, verify the request set assigned to your responsibility. APTB might have been excluded from the request set. review user guide to modify request set. and now regarding your second question, after running...

hi ramsabi thanq for the explanation...u r very much right abt the memo's concept..but the original poster wants to pay only $9500 instead $10000....and want to close the invoices for some reason! yes, i didnot mention negative sign beside $500...as i took it for granted w.r.t debit and credit memo'...

1st: pay the invoice completely i.e for $1000
2nd: close the invoice
3rd: raise a credit memo of $500 against the same suppier.

so at the end, u r able to close the invoice and still have $500 as supplier balance..try this process and let me know how it works.

you can map those two by assigning below profile options to every responsibility:- mo:operating unit gl set of books name when both these profile options are assigned to a responsiblity,,, the logical relation between multi org and sob will be ceated. hope this will help... but next time plz spare m...
