FA Security by Book

Post by bharanir »

Dear All,

My Client is having two set of books

1) Dubai - having three operating units
2) Muscat - having two operating units

In FA, they want Asset Organisation to be created at Operating Unit wise.
means each Operating Unit should have a Book and it should be controlled by Security by Book.

Is that possible? else give any work around?

Requesting everybody's Immediate response.

Regards
Bharani.

Yes its simple and possible as it is the functionality of FA module ...U simply define 5 FA books for both SOBs as per their OUs then simply define Security by book and your data will be secured.

thanks,

Search the Security by Book White Paper on Metalink.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT IS TO PROVIDE AN OVERVIEW of the Security by Book feature in Oracle Assets. Security by Book, available with Release 11i, enables users to secure data access by book and responsibility. It implements the organizational hierarchy concept that was introduced in Oracle Human Resources. This document will instruct users in the method for creating a flexible hierarchy of asset security. It will absolutely eviscerate the topic of security hierarchies in Oracle Assets: the subtleties, the tricks, the special cases, and of course, the basics.
