How to manage the quality of items

Hi all,

In inventory module, we have many items that have quality going down, I want to decrease its value and grade it into others group. How can I do this.

Hi Hoanganhlongan,

Do the following

- Issue this material (Misc.)

- Receipt the material with the grade you desire and cost.

To my knowledge, you can't transfer from item to another item. if your find another soultion pls. posed here.

If you are using Avg Costing you may use Average Cost Update to increase the value of your item.

Hi,

Are you using OPM or Discrete?

If it is OPM, you can create lot controlled item with grade enabled. You may define multiple grade.

You can create various test parameter as per the quality requirement.

Then create test specification and validity rule (inventory type)

Now you can create sample(manual) for testing and change the parameter as you are getting actual. And also change the grade.

All this can be done throguh OPM(Quality manager) with Inventory

Ah, It only in Inv module. In my business, in the warehouse we have many items that have high value, but it not been used any more. We can't write its value to 0, so that we have to decrease its value.
