Budgets on purchasing assets for control

i need to make budget on purchasing assets to stop me when pass available funds
there is one asset clearing in COA

Apologize for the delay in response ....

I assume your issue is ....

1) You cannot ascertain the amount that could be budgeted for all assets under one "Asset Clearing Account" ?

OR

2) You want to have individual clearing account for every asset category for tracking the budget vs actual cost ...

In short, you have to set the Budget amount for your Asset Clearing Account, when you create a payable invoice in payables and check funds status, system would prompt a message stating funds check failed due to non availability of funds ..(if the invoice amount is greater than the Budger amount and the budgetary control option used is "Absolute"....
