How to setup Apps. to get reports' output in PDF.

Post by Bilal Ahmad Qureshi »

Hi All,

I am a new member of the group, working as Oracle Apps. Consultant in a reputed company.

I did not find any stuff regarding my problem on erpstuff.com, thats why i am posting the issue here.

Can anyone, plz, let me know of the detailed step by step process to setup Oracle EBS 11.5.9 for viewing reports' output in Acrobat reader directly when I press the View Output button on Requests Window? I will be grateful for a prompt and detailed response.

Download document "Custom Reports Integration Document " from the Documents section and follow the steps. After integration if you will not be able to view the reports in PDF then also download the Apps DBA document and follow the steps mentioned in Display Settings. Hope will help you.

Hi Bilal

You just do a pdf report as if you do a char. report. But while registering the report in the Apps. concurrent program just select the output format as PDF.
Then u can get your report output in the pdf. format

Bye

Dear Habibi,

The thing you mentioned is just a part of the whole pic.

Dear Azeez,

You cant get the built-in reports' output in .xls, how ever you can in case of and FSG report. Follow the steps,

1. Generate the FSG report in TAB DELIMITED format.
2. View the report output in report viewer and then go to Tools->Copy File and SAVE AS "File name.txt"
3. Open MS Excel and open the File name.txt in it, it would show you the import wizard, just press FINISH.

For built in reports, you can pick up their .rdf from server and save the query out of them. Run the query in TOAD and then save the out put in excel.

Hope it would work.
