How we can Identified Database Connection

Dear all,
useing Form 6i, i want to know the following thing
1. My connection is established or not (i m attach with database or not)
2. Did user :abc" and string exist in database dictionlary
3. How we can set "Logon_scrren_on_error" parameter FALSE in logon() function where we set it FALSE/TRUE

Note , i have alreay used Logon(),IS_Connected but i can get proper result , just like i need when i press button and logon screen appear and i put user,pw,and string if user connect to database return some handle same when it fail it also return some handler,
