Dear Sowjanya,

A fast formula can not be assigned directly to an employee, rather, you assign the employee to a Payroll; and upon running the Payroll, it will run all the Fast Formulas to calculate employee Compensations and Benefits.

I hope this will be useful to you :P

Good Morning Sowjanya,

Please specify your doubts or questions regarding Fast Formulas in order to be able to answer and clarify them :P

On the other hand, For Payroll Run you need:
1) Define Payroll Elements
2) Link these Elements according to your eligibility rules
3) Define Any required balances for those elements
4) Create Fast Formulas as per your business to handle different Elements Calculations...
5) Define Formula Results (A form where you tell the application that this formula is going to be used for this element calculation and will generate the following outcomes)

Then Run the Payroll to see the results...

I hope this is useful to you... and feel free to ask and share ideas and experiences at any time...

Best Regards,
