Dear Members,

we have common login used across one particular OU for data entry operators.

nearly 50 to 60 members use that in different shifts(3 shifts we have).

Some one is changing the password and they are not able to inform the other members.

As such it is causing many problem for us(Sysadmin) to change the password very frequently.

Due to security reasons we have to fix the change password to 45 days.

We can not change the days to Null.

Kindly give us some idea to solve this issue.

Email me to elakkia1980in@yahoo.co.in

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Why don't you create separate users for each operator? Secondly on which version you are? thanks

Dear Admin,

We are in 11.5.10.2 version. Morover they are DEO(Data Entry Operators)and they are not permanent employees. These DEO's come in different shifts. For each shift there are many DEO's. Due to licence cost we can not create a seperate logins. Kindly give me some idea to sort out this issue.

Thanks in advance,

Let us know the following,

1- From where they are changing the pass?
2- They are changing after 45 days on expiry?

and what if,

1- What you want to do to disable change pass?
2- If changed others or supervisor should be informed that pass is changed?

while instead of keeping 45 days better remove these days and sysadmin should manually change after certain days. tks

Dear Admin,

Let us know the following,

1- From where they are changing the pass?

Ans.: Once 45 days are over they getting a message and they are changing the password but they are not able to communicate to others.

Navigation: Edit/Preferences/Change password

2- They are changing after 45 days on expiry?

Ans.: Yes they are changing once they get the message after 45 days.

and what if,

1- What you want to do to disable change pass?

Ans.: Is it possible to disable the change password for that particular user. Once disabled they should not get the message after 45 days.

2- If changed others or supervisor should be informed that pass is changed?

Ans.: they are changing the password but they are not able to communicate to others.

while instead of keeping 45 days better remove these days
and sysadmin should manually change after certain days.

We can not disable the 45 days. This is as per the system audit we are following 45 days rules. and we can not change the other users password without getting the mail from the concerned. These data entry operators do not have email address.

Thanx in advance,

The operators see the message after every 45th day, and they change when they see the message right?, the solution would be you can change password every 44th day by yourself and tell them the password!!

regards
