How to get Daily Depreciation for a Banking compan

Post by SIVAKUMAR_G »

Dear All

Version:R12.0.6

We are implementing Purchasing, Payables, Fixed Assets and GL for a Banking company. There is a Statutory requirement for Banks to close books on a daily basis

But if we define Daily Calendar in GL it has following implications

a) Budget can have only 60 periods (i.e) 01-Jan to 01-Mar and we cound not define more than this it has been tested

Doc ID:281934.1 Budget Is Limited To 60 Periods Per Year
Bug No. 6666880 REQUIRE 365 BUDGET PERIODS WHEN THERE ARE 365 CALENDAR PERIODS FOR BANKING CO.S

b) in FA it allows only 365 periods which is again an issue for Leap year

Hence we decided to create customized daily trial balance and push the data to core banking software

The main challenge we are facing is as per Banking need we need to get daily depreciation and push the data to GL.

We tried defining Daily Depreciation Calendar in FA and Monthly Calendar in GL, it is not working

Checked with Oracle and they termed this as Enhancement Request

Can anyone has faced similar issue and provided any solution please let me know

Thanks
Sivakumar
