Subledger Accounting in R12

Hi everyone

Im practising the new R12
im trying to implement subledger accounting

but i cant access the Accounting Setups page

is it normal or some other configuration needs to be done?

I accessed this by using GL Superuser responsibility :

Setup - Financials - Accounting Setup Manager

Browser window will pop up. Press "Go" to search for all defined items and your various ledger should appear for you to work with.

Wish to know more about SLA implementation which is new in the Release 12. Please could you list some features?
I understand that the SLA enables to have Accounting flexfields different from the GL say for example 2 or 3 segments to say 5 in GL?
Link SLA to GL with atleast one common segment for transferring?
