Dear Mr. Paul

Try to understand the error message.

Everytime, when you save your Calendar, Apps will validate the Calendar with particular parameters.

1. Calendar periods you defined in the calendar must be equal to the periods you defined in the period type Calendar.
2. Dates should not overlap.
3. You should not miss the period numbers.
4. You should not miss the quarters.

I will answer your error message one by one:

Error 1:
Periods Overlap: Please check your period 1 and period 2 contains the same dates. Following period always should start with immediate next day of the previous period end day.

Error 2:
following period numbers are missing:

It looks like you have created calendar which falls in 2007 and 2008. In such case, you should select the Calendar type as "FISCAL" and give the Sequential Number in "Period Number" field.

For Example: If you are creating a calendar which starts from April 2007 and ends in March 2008, Then
April 2007 - Period 1 Quarter 1
May 2007 - Period 2 Quarter 1
Jun 2007 - Period 3 Quarter 1
Jul 2007 - Period 4 Quarter 2
Aug 2007 - period 5 Quarter 2
Sep 2007 - Period 6 Quarter 2
Oct 2007 - Period 7 Quarter 3
Nov 2007 - Period 8 Quarter 3
Dec 2007 - Period 9 Quarter 3
Jan 2008 - Period 10 Quarter 4
Feb 2008 - Period 11 Quarter 4
Mar 2008 Period 12 Quarter 4

Error 3:

Doesn't arise if you define your calendar as above
