Post by Shashi_k »

Hi,

Can anyone tell how one can implement Oracle apps modules like AP and AR for a BANK?
1) How will bank maintain customer data?
2) How the deposits from the customers will maintained in Applications
3) How the revenue reorganization program in AR will work for banking business.
4) What all modules one can suggest for bank.
5) How deposits withdrawal by customer will be treated in oracle applications what will be the accounting effects.
Apart from the above-asked question one can share his/her experiences of implementing Oracle apps for a bank.

Hi

Oracle Financials is not really a best suited software for Day today operations for Banks. There are other Softwares like Finacle, flexcube, Tremenos etc., which are meant for banking operations where you have several customer with deposits and Withdrawl, Fixed Deposit, Loan management, credit card management etc.,

But still banks uses Oracle financials for day to day administrative Purchases and payment like stationery, office expenses etc., and also the above mentioned softwares are interfaced with oracle GL to generate P&L and Balance sheet in Oracle

Hope this helps

Hi,

That's true.

In addition, you can use Oracle iflex product for banking transaction.

You can use temenos T24 for front banking operations and integrate the same with Oracle Apps on back end.
