conurrent manager not active

Post by vimal »

have installed apps on 2003..all went well with installation. but the concurrent manager is not working. it shows the status as pending No Manager.

checked that standard manager status was inactive and its is taking eternity to activate.
also ran autoconfig which didnot have any errors.

Neither has solved the problem

Usually in all other installations its runs as long as the default values apply...

I tried installing apps on XP too and encountered the same problem..

Pls help

HI if DB is up and running
please download CMCLEAN.sql from Metalink and run against your instance.
The Managers will not come up if you have invalid status in phase_code and Status_code of FND_Concurrent_Requests

Otherwise you can manully update by writing a query like
update FND_concurrent_requests set phase_code=C,Status_code=C .....like that
you can join Request_id of Fnd_conc_requests and fnd_concurrent_programs_tl and get the status of pending or nomanager.

check FND_Lookups for code and meaning

Hi
I do not think anybody has found solution to this concurrent problem. Installation on window 2003 and xp is not advisable due to the problem.

If anybody has found solution to it, let us know.

If your concurrent managers are not working on an XP install. Try the following:

1. Login as SYSADMIN
2. Choose System Administrator responsibility
3. Choose Profile --> System
4. Query up GSM%
5. Change the value of GSM: Enabled from a Y to a N.
6. Shutdown your laptop and reboot.

Your concurrent managers should now work OK.
