Consolidation process

Can anybody let me know how to define consolidation process in GL?

I give you the steps to be done for consolidation for 11i. Almost same steps to be followed in R12.

1. Create a Consolidation SOB
2. Create separate responsibility for consolidation and define profile options for this resp
3. Assign this responsibility to the required user ids.
4. Open the period for this SOB
5. Define the consolidation mapping - Mapping between the subsidiary and parent (cons) SOBs
6. Define Segment Rules/Account Rules - This is a critical step.
7. Close the subsidiary Period
8. Transfer GL data from subsidiary to Consolidation SOB
9. Review and Post JVs in Consolidation SOB
10. Optionally Create elimination accounts (if applicable) and generate elimination JVs
11. Post Elimination JVs (if applicable)

Repeat the step for other subsidiary SOBs and then take the MIS reports from consolidated SOB.
