Hi,
Can anyone please explain me the main usage of Grid Controlling? what kind of environment it is feasible to implement Grid Controlling?

what is the difference between Grid Controlling and OEM?

Hi,

In OEM you can manage and admin only onc instance at a time where as in OEM Grid Control you can manage and monitor more than one instance at a time.

Hi Anwar,

Thanks for replying back... Actually my question was where do we implement Grid Controlling? I mean if we have 2 node rac is it wise to implement GRID controlling? or OEM is just fine?

Hi Arvin,

You have to Install OEM Grid Control on any machine or directly at server and configure accordingly with all your RAC enables instances and do the administration with OEM Grid Control.

OEM is different then OEM Grid-- this is for the managebility of more than one Instances.

Thanks Anwar for your explaination. Like Grid Controlling what is the tool used to manage more than one Application Instances in clusters?
