Special Information Type Segments on Oracle Fast F

Post by alaa_hj »

Dear all

I read about oracle fast formula , about the database item .

there is static one , and you can use flex field segments by run the Create Key Flexfield DB Items request

but as the fast formula document said that there is some key flex field that you can use there segments

you cant use Special Information Type Segments

it seems that oracle did not support this .

My question is , How can I use Special Information Type Segments on oracle fast formula .

is there any work around solution , or you have to create function on the database that retrieve data from the Special Information Type Segments and use it on the formula . or use GET_TABLE_VALUE to retrieve the data from the table in the fast formula.

Dear Alaa,

You need to create a function on the database to read the segments of SIT's. Parametes include flexfield structure and segment number and you can also use a unique identifier from the PER_PERSON_ANALYSES table.

For any clarifications, feel free to post..

You can also use custom functions to use SITs in the fast formulas.
