How to Update FA Workench Location Field in R12

Hi,

I have one requirement to update the Fixed Assets Workbench Location I have searched for the API's but I didn't get the exact API if any one knows please tell me.
(Navigation: Assets- >Asset Workbench->Query by asset number->Assignments Button)
I have used this API "FA_DISTRIBUTION_HISTORY_PKG.Update_Row" but it is private API and it is updating directly to the base table.
