Change Accounting Period

Dear All,
If we already given opening period in SLA like Jan 2012 but after some time we want to change Accounting Period like Jan 2011 so the application accept this or not ??????

Hi Faraz,

1) If you want to change the text of the period name, it can be done ....
2) If you want to change the period, it depends on the period status .... you can select the period(s) which are in open status .... In your case if Jan 2011 is in OPEN status, you can select that as well....
3) You cannot select a period that is not defined your calendar ....
4) You cannot select a period that is before the FIRST OPEN PERIOD in GL ....

You have to make sure what should be your very first open period .....
