Check for invalid objects - select * from dba_objects where status='INVALID' and complie your apps schema using ADAMIN . It will solve your error .

When we try to export data from FORMS data gets exported in HTML and not in excel . It happens only when data
size is large like more than 1000 rows . Otherwise it is working fine .
