If you scroll to the right in the Inventory tabbed region, you can see "Material Status Control" block. Enable Serial Status with a default status of "Active".

After receiving the material in Inventory, we can change the status to "In-Active" for specific serial numbers under navigation ...

This requires the Stock Locator Flex Field to be segmentalised before the start of inventory transactions.

A simple way is to set Restrict Sub-Inventories and Restrict Locators in the item attributes in Inventory tabbed region.
Make the Locator control as Pre-specified.
Click on Item-SubInventory ...

Go to Inventory - Setup - Transactions - Interface Manager and launch all the managers as SRS ( ie. schedule the concurrent on a periodic basis, say once in 10 minutes)

You can now observe that the resource costs are updated in the WIP Valuation Summary.

Click on View Log of the concurrent. If you find any message stating that Temp file error, check TEMP and TMP directory are created in root directory. Otherwise create those directories in root. Also check you have installed a printer ( a Dot Matrix Printer installation is OK)
