IM USING MSCOMM 32 OCX CONTROL IN FORMS 6 BUT FACING PROBLEM. I GOT A SAMPLE FORM AND WHEN I RUN THAT FORM NO ERROR OCCURED BUT WHEN I DEVELOP MYSELF AND THEN ERROR ENCOUNTERED
"OLE OBJECT NOT DEFINED IN CURRENT RECORD"

PLEASE PROVIDE ANY HINTS.

Try this one
SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY('voumaster', DEFAULT_WHERE, 'vtype='||''''||vtypev||'''' AND 'entdate='||''''||o_date(sysdate,'DD-MON-YYYY')||'''');

So simple, when u invoke LOV, if u want to search by first column then put your criteria before % sign in Lov Criteria text box and if you want to search by second column just put your criteria after % sign in LOV criteria text box.

As in Sql server we try to keep data type of a primary key as integer bcoz its indexing is fast, so wut abt in oracle?
Bcoz mostly in oracle people try to use varchar2. is there no effect on indexing?

Its very simple just place this value in a global variable and write down lov record group query as

Select * from table name
where inv_no <> 'variable'
