R12 and 12i ?

Hi,

1. what is the difference between R12 and 12i ?

2. When I install 11.5.10.2 the db was 9i in NT and Linux. But somewhre I did read the db is 10g for 11.5.10.2, could you explain?

1. I don't know that 12i exist. Tried to search it in Metalink and still couldn't found it. Maybe it's a misunderstanding? What I know is R12 which started from 12.0.0 and the newest is 12.0.6 (and I'm still expecting 12.0.7).

2. AFAIK, for 11.5.10.2 the db is 9i, at least that's what I get after some installations You can (in fact, it is suggested) to upgrade the db to 10g, which need a lot of patches.
