Enabling Dead Connection Detection ?

pls let mw know how to check if DCD is enabled ?

And if not enabled how do i enable ?

Hi,
the parameter EXPIRE_TIME parameter in sqlnet.ora file will enable DCD.
SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME is set in minutes. if the value is set to non zero value DCD(detect dead connections) is enabled. It detects and kills the dead inactive SQLNET session.

If you set the value to "0" , the dead connections will not be detected
