Master Budget and budget entries at parent level

Post by Vipparla »

Hi,

1.How is Master budget used in define budget form how it is different from detailed budget?

2.Suppose Maharastra is a region ( for this region actuals posting is not allowed) and has Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune as locations (in locations actuals posting is allowed) budget is to be prepared for region expenses , but actuals can be entered at locations level .Is this possible , if possible , how? And how to compare?

i.e. without entering budget for every code combination is it possible to enter budget at gross level and comparing with actuals?

I would suggest you to go through "Oracle General Ledger Users Guide" in which the budgets are explained in detail with examples.

Budgets need to be entered at the detail level, but budgetary control can be done at either detail or summary level.

If you don't have a copy of the document, you can download it here. http://www.oracle.com/technology/docume ... tions.html
