Our client is a well established MNC looking for a DBA to join their team. You must have basic system administration ability in one of the major operating systems and be able to do installs/upgrades. With your minimum of 2 years industry experience coupled with Oracle and MS SQL DBA background, you need to be proficient in backups and restores, capacity planning and performance tuning. This is a ONE(1) year contractual position with option of annual renewal.

Location:
Kulim, Malaysia

Job Description:
= Responsible for database administration, maintenance and support
= Handle local/regional/global database platforms project co-ordination for Kulim site
= Perform monitoring and performance tuning for Oracle/SQL Database

Qualifications:
= Bachelor of Engineering in Computer, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent


Experience / Knowledge in Keywords:
= At least 2 years' related working experience in the semiconductor MNC
= Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot on UNIX Operating System and Database
= Must be knowledgeable and experienced in handling mission critical with cluster environment server
= Knowledge of Unix platform and RDBMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
= Perl and csh/sh shell programming skills
= Strong communication skills, specifically in English; and must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees
Able to provide 24x7 support
= Willing to travel nationwide or overseas as and when necessary
Fluency in English is a must
