What are the steps required to create a report for oracle apps that has an excel or text output?

Please help...

after creating the report, in the concurrent program definition, change the type of output to either text/excel.

As far as my Knowledge is concern there is no output format as excel for this u have to concatinate each field with single pipe put the format as text then run u r concurrent program which gives text output save into u r local machine then open this text file using excel.It asks delimetor...........

After the concurrent program completes normal, do the following:

Click on View output button

Do Tools -> Copy. THis will copy the output to IE.
Then save as .txt. This will give you text file. You can open this in excel if the output is comma delimited

Hi,
We can Create the Concurrent Program and format type is Text,
then run the Concurrent Program , open the output i save it and
then again open the Output in Excel.

Hi,
In order to create a report for oracle apps that has an excel or text output you have to use Application Desktop Integrator which i have been using as it gives flexiblity of spread sheets and converting Report in to Excel format though Data text to columns will not give desired result in neat look or format.
