POstatus changedfrom Approved,Reserved to Approved

Hi,

Why the PO status is changed from "Approved, Reserved" to "Approved" when i canceled the PO shipment.

My Requirement: There are some Approved PO's which are not taken receipt. Now we need to cancel the PO lines which not taken receipt.

Note: we have an enabled encumbrane for PO's.


Please find the below TEST CASE i have done, based on this please let me know your views on the same

1. PO is having 2 lines with status as "Approved Reserved"
2. For 1st line the user has partially taken the receipt,now we need to cancel the remaining amount
3. from PO summary window i have calceled the PO shipment
4. After canceling the PO the status changed from "Approved,reserved" to "Approved"

Note: The encumbrance amount is reversed automatically for the remaining quantity.

Can any one let me know why the PO staus is changned.
