Manufacturing flow of MS/MRP and ASCP

Hi
I am having Oracle MS/MRP and Oracle ASCP.
I want to manufacture item as PEN. All accessories for PEN are buy items
Please let me how MS/MRP & ASCP will work to manufacture a pen.
What are the setup differences for the same of these 2 modules?

Hi,
Using both you can do planning for mfg.

For MS/MRP you have to setup organization parameters and item attribute (General planning & MPS/MRP Planning tab)

For ASCP you have to crate plan instance seperatley and many other setup you have to do, which need more effort than MS/MRP. Please follow ASCP user guide.

ASCP is more efficient than MS/MRP. But it will take longer time for data collection and plan running.

If Data volume is bulk then for ASCP Seperate Plan instance may required. (Seperate plan server)
