Ordered Item Field on Order Lines Form

Post by rajesh117apps »

Hi,

Can any one let me know if Ordered Item field on Order Lines Column is a Free Text (User can enter any name he wants in that field)
or
it will validate with inventory list always.

If it can be made as a free text, can you let me know the steps to follow.

Also which column in the lines interface table should be used to populate this field directly thru order import program.

Thanks for the help in adavance.

Ordered item is not free text column. You can see a LOV for this column.
There are some validation while selecting or entering the item. The item should be from inventory organization belong to a particular OU or assigned to the customer(in case of customer item).
Also some more validation will validation happen once the item selected and while entering UOM code.

In order interface table, inventory_item and inventory_item_id has to be used to populate the ordered item column.
You may refer some user manual for OM to get more info.

Best Regards
Ramesh
