Need help on FA TO GL Cycle

Need help on FA TO GL Cycle

Hi Experts,

My clinet is Manufactring comapny and they use to buy assets.
Whenever they wish to buy asset, they would issue purchase order.
so they wish to create asset invoice by Purchase order.

Iknow the FA to GL process from AP to FA.
But Idont the know the process from PO to FA.
Pls tel me the entire process how to define the asset in inventory and
how to receive the goods and what are the journas.

It is very urgent pls help me in the above ASAP.

hi Srini,
Try this scenario and let me know if it worked:
1- Create an expensed inventory item ( Only use the purchasing Tab)
2- Put your asset clearing account in the expense account field under the purchasing tab
3- Create a standard purchase order for the item created
4- Receive this PO in inventory (Receipt window)
5- Create a standard invoice in AP and match it with the receipt
6- Tick the Track As Asset check box and select your asset book
7- Run the mass addition programs in AP & FA

If it didn't work, GO to Purchasing Options and put the asset clearing account you are using in the Expense AP Accrual Field and redo the previous steps.
