Defining the organizations

Post by mhourieh »

<b><span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>Hi, </span id='hl'> </b>
Please read the following scenario and advise accordingly:

While implementing the HRMS for the Company X that contains two offices: Office Y and Office Z, both are based in the same country then both are controlled by the same legislation code, furthermore they have the same structure.

How would they be classified, in order to secure data of each one and make them partitioned. Is that done by classifying them as two legal entities? Or tow business groups?

Hi,

Following are the steps to follow:

1) Define Organization Function
You create Y and Z as organizations and assign them ORGANIZATION CLASSIFICATIONS ?HR Organization?
2) Define Organization Hierarchy Function
Create only one Organization Hierarchy ?X?
In Organization block Name Field select your 1st Office i.e. ?Y?
In Subordinates block Name filed select all other organization which comes in Office ?Y?
Now
In Organization block Name Field select your 2nd Office i.e. ?Z?
In Subordinates block Name field select all other organization which comes in Office ?Z?
Save your work.
3) Define Security Profile Function
Create two security profiles Y and Z
View Employees filed: Restricted
Etc.
View All Records Check Box: Keep it empty
Etc.
Organization TAB
Security Type field: Secure organization by organization hierarchy and/ or organization list
Organization Hierarch field: Select the hierarchy we created ?X?
Specify Top Organization: Select Y and Z for Y and Z Security profile respectively.
Include Top Organization check box: check this box
Save your work

4) In system administrator responsibility
You must create two responsibilities for two Offices then
Profile System Values function
Select your responsibility for office ?Y?
Select Profile HR: Security Profile
Press the find button
System Profile Values will open
Under the Responsibility column you select ?Y? form list of values
And repeat same for office ?Z?
