What is the GAP? Can any one tell me examples in GL , AP and AR in Forms and Reports for Functional Specification?

GAP means the difference between what the client expects the software to do and what the software does. For E.G Many clients use DFF for tracking additional information. However none of the standard reports provide DFF data. The users will require a report to pull up the DFF information associated with the data.

Similarly in R11i, majority of the subledgers run on Operating Unit basis , however a top level executive would like to see the details at a summary level.. for this you might want to develop custom reports which are gaps.
