Dears,

I'd like to know, How can I disable the attachment button/function for certain responsibility. Ex: PO_Super User responsibility can't use attachment but Payables_Super User can.

Thanks a lot,

Daniel

thanks, but I've tried it before but doesn't work. I set this profile option as negative,, but I still can open attachments. For security purposes I need to disable the button for some reponsabilities. Can I do this via Forms Personalization?

Thanks

Hi,

For Attachments, it might helps you.

Self service Level
===========

If you want to disable attachments at self service pages, you can use the Profile Option"Personalize Self-Service Defn" for the specific user. He/She can disable the attachments links using self service personalization.

Core Forms:
========

Go to the corresponding responsibility menu...for eg: Purchasing Super User

Responsibility: Purchasing Super User
Menu: Purchasing SuperUser GUI

Go to the Menu using Application---> Menu

PressF11

enter User Menu Name -->Purchasing SuperUser GUI

press ctl+F11

Check the sub-menu for setup. in this case it is "Setup:"

query the same at Application---> Menu (query same as above, replace User Menu Name as "Setup:")

In that screen you can see a function called "Attachments".

In that row you can uncheck the check box for the coulmn "Grant".

save the record.

restart forms server & check attachments link exists or not.

I think now you can't see the attachment LINK IN FORMS.

Other Alternative is Just Exclude the above attachments function at Responsibility screen(this is better).
