OPM Financial

Post by hiszaki »

Dear All

We used OPM Financial under the Oracle Applications release 11.5.9 & we want to run the actual cost process. We already used the Actual cost type not Standard cost type so can I:-
1) Running the actual cost per day not per period.
2) Is these a Trigger can be running automatic after each transaction in the inventory module to calculate the Item cost automatically without running the actual cost process?

Wait for your quick response.

Thanks

Hi

In OPM the costing can only happen if you run the Actual cost process. As a general rule a period in OPM is 1 month and at the end of the month when all the transactions are complete, you need to run the ACP, and cost update so that the cost is correctly calculated.

However if you need daily cost then you need to have daily periods, run the ACP daily and have to close each period.

There are no triggers which can calculate the cost without running the ACP.

Hope this would be useful in clarifying your doubts.

Thanks
Ramesh
