Post by sandy6381 »

Hi All,

I am working on BOM, WIP, OM, MRP planning module. I am not able to find the link between the Sales order created in OM to the work order created in MRP planning.

Step1: Created Sales order in OM of make item with 10 qty. Booked the S.O.

Step2: Run MDS Plan and then MRP plan...in the MRP workbench it shows the demand and supply i.e. demand of sales order of 10 qty and the supply as work/job order of 10 qty.

But when i release the work order from planning and query the work order in the WIP using the sales order name i,e taking the reference of Sales order...i cannot find it. but when i query it using the job order i can query that.

So I am not able to link the sales order with the work order through planning. Need help urgently....

Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards,
Sandeep

Hi,

After releasing job from PWB, You have to link Sales order through the Discrete Job window (What I have found in 11i)

Find the Discrete job and click on "Sales Order " button. You need to add the corresponding sales order manually here. Also the SO should be in "Booked" Status.

Then if you query with sales order number you will get the corresponding job.
