Hi Avin

I searched the error in metalink. I believe its a descriptive flexfield problem.

Solution
navigate:

1- Login under Sysadmin responsibility Application > Flexfield >
Descriptive > Segments
2- Query the form:
- In the application enter "General Ledger"
- In the Title field enter "Accounting Calendar: Periods"
- Query Run
- In Context Block is the Required checkbox checked? If so:
- Unfreeze the Flexfield Definition;
- Untick Value Required Flag
- Refreeze the DFF
- - Retest the issue.

I copied that from the metalink Note:244936.1, the problem in that note was with a descriptive flexfield in Receivables.

please try the solution and let me know if it worked.
