Hi Farhat

It is not possible to use more than 30 segments. Using more segments will complicate the process & i have never seen organizations using more than 12 segments.

Yours is a unique case but unfortunately there is no work around for this as far as i know.

Thanks

Dear this is limitation of Oracle but at the same time I am more interested like other members to know the name of all segments your organization is going to use as it is strange for me as well. Please share with us so may be we can give any better idea.

Thanks

Dear All

Our company is very diversity group of company engage in manufacturing and trading. To meet our business requirement we are using 9 segments with 2 reserve is more than enough as mentioned below. Like other said above, I too have impression something misunderstanding in mapping this issue.

Farath can you elaborate you scenario which be interest of all.

Segment1 Company
Segment2 Division
Segment3 Location
Segment4 Product line
Segment5 Cost Center
Segment6 Account
Segment7 Sub account
Segment8 Future 1
Segment9 Future 2
