Multi org Setup

Post by vedanta »

Hi,

We have just completed 11i (11.5.10.2) installation. It was not done as multi org setup. Now want to convert the instance to multi org. please let me know if any one of you had similar requirement, if so what steps we need to follow? Your valuable inputs would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

1.Start ONLY the database. No user may connect !!!

2.Change to APPL_TOP folder (usually indicated by <SID>appl folder)
$ cd /?/<SID>appl

3.Execute APPS<SID>.env script
$ ./APPS<SID>.env

4.Execute adadmin script
$ adadmin

5.Select No. 4 ? Maintain Applications Database Entities Menu

6.Select No. 6 ? Convert to Multi Org

7.Give the value asked by the system and select default worker number given

There will be message like below if that?s the first time system convert to multi organization:
Warning : File /<SID>appl/ar/11.5.0/patch/115/sql/arhmgmul.sql does not exist

A word of caution. This conversion happens for only once, and there is supposedly no option to revert back.
