Org Id Sequence

Post by 302009145 »

Org Id issue

We are facing issue while creating Org id sequence. We have the increment value as 1 and cache size of 20 for the organizations. But some times, we see there is a break up in the Org id sequence. Instead of incrementing the Org id by 1 everytime, some ids are being skipped. Don't know the scenarios in which the ids are being skipped.

For example, If I create some Organizations, the Org Ids that would be assigned will be in the sequence 1, 2, 3, 4 .......as the increment value is 1. But some times this sequence is getting skipped.Instead of getting incremented by 1, it is skipping some values.

Can anyone please explain the situations when it can be possible
Thank you

Hello,

The Ord Id are created by the system by its own.

Whenever you create new Oraganisation it will create Unique Org ID. normally it goes +1 from the previuos.

If you create any departments or even inventary Organisation, or any other Unit also it create One ID.

So in the Implimantaion perspective it does not give any problem to you.

The Use of Org ID is mainly to the Technical Understanding.

So my feeling is that. It will not effect anywhere in neither implimentaion nor Operation.
