In general the fast formula use in the following area:

- It use for Calculate element result.
- it use for element validation.
- It use for skip rule.
- It use for create report (Quickpaint) by creating element set.
- It use for query information

Dear Akumar,

The main use of Oracle Fast Formulas is for Payroll Calculations where if you are using Oracle Payroll, you have to use Fast Formulas.

And I would like to add some other uses also:
1- Accrual Plan Formulas.
2- Absence Template Formulas (Absence Validation Rules)
3- OTL Approval Formulas
4- OTL Time Entry Rules Validation

What determines the type of Fast Formula is a field called "Type" in the Fast Formula setup form.
