Meaning of Cost Allocation Flexfield

May i know what is Cost Allocation. Is it requirement that Cost Allocation Flexfield must be similar to Accounting Flexfield.

And also

Explanation to Cost Allocation Flexfield qualiers.

Dear,

If Oracle financias module is implemented, then the Cost Allocation Flexfield should be similar to the Accounting Flexfield. You do the mapping through the form "GL Mapping" in the HR Reponsibility.

For Qualifiers, you can think of them as levels of costing. Where do you want your costing segment to appear? (What level or form)?
