How to delete assets which I uploaded through Web
We have uploaded some assets thru Web ADI for one period. After that, we have run the post mass additions also. So, after this assets are there in the system. But we came to know that we have uploaded assets with wrong information. I tried to delete them thru Delete Mass additions program but without success.
Is there anyway to delete those assets which are uploaded?

No issues...
You can delete the Asset from Asset workbench.
Query the Assets from the asset workbench that are having wrong information.
Click on the delete tool icon from the tool bar ...
that is all...
Remember... one can delete the Assets only in the current open period... and not for the past/closed periods ...
Since you failed to check the asset information before posting the mass additions this is the only way in which you can delete the assets.

What do you mean by Directly ... ?
Please be more elaborate while framing questions .... the more detail the question is , the more better answer will be shared .....else there will be more replies only to understand what is the question...
I assume by directly, you mean deleting the asset from the FORM from front end .
As i stated earlier, you can delete the asset from asset workbench.

In Release 12 also, we can delete the asset from asset workbench.
Be it Release 11 or Release 12, the steps are as below:
Navigate to Asset Workbench
Query your Asset
Click Open button.
From the toolbar click the Delete icon, this will delete the asset.
As stated before one can delete only current period assets and not prior periods.
Please try it out for yourselves

Dear Anurag,
if you would have read my previous reply in detail, the delete icon is available for selection only when you click open button and not before that.
In Release 11 also it is the same case.
When i said Asset Workbench, i have stated the steps as well ....
Apologize if i am not clear in my earlier updates...

Karthik is right, you can only delete assets uploaded/added in current open period from invoice workbench. You cannot delete new assets with depreciation processed or assets added in previous periods. If depreciation is processed on assets in current period then role back depreciation and delete latest uploaded assets.
Thanks,
Fahd

Hi,
if you have not created assets and the records are still at the mass addition interface, you can delete them at the Interface level.
If the assets have already been created, you have to delete one at a time, however you can explore the possibility of performing the same through scripts with technical team assistance.
Also if you need to modify the details of assets created, you can do so at any time. Oracle Assets allow reclassification, change in cost, etc ....but to perform the same for a large volume of transactions, you need to either try Mass Change process ... or scripts from technical team ..
Locking this thread, as it is veryyyyy old .
