Oracle Applications Certifications Path

Post by AIMAM »

Hi,
I would like to seek your guidance please.
I have three years experience in Oracle Applications 11i in Financials and logistics modules. I have participated in:
-creating an purchase order approval hierarchy
-creating new inventory organizations
-creating customized reports with oracle reports builder
-creating customized folder in oracle discoverer
-setting up oracle discoverer to be used with oracle applications 11i
-general support guided by metalink notes.
-etc.

But I have no Oracle certifications.
I have thought that it would be more appropriate to prepare for :

<b>Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate</b> and taking the exams:
1Z0-007
Introduction to Oracle9i SQL?
and
Program with PL/SQL 1Z0-147

If there is another preferable OCA path, kindly advise me.
I 'm wondering if 1Z0-007 is still valid and for how long considring it's a 9i exam.

what are the best references that I can use online and as hardcopy books? and does metalink have developer patches like it does for oracle applications? and what are thier numbers?

Thank you & Best Regards,

Hi,

You can take developer or dba track OCP

for OCA (oracle certified Associate) developer track there are two exam

1. SQL
2. PL/SQL

for OCP you can take
3. Forms and Reports

this will get you OCP developer track.

there are alot of books by oracle press too that can help you..

Note: you need to attend hands on training on atleast one topic from oracle training partner to get OCP.

check out oracle site

hope that helps...
