Hi My Dears,

1-What is the difference between The request & schedule shipment date in OM module?
2-what is the difference between the Reservation and scheduling?
3-when entering sales order lines and scheduling shipment date appear automatically but differ from request date
what is the tool that control and determine the schedule shipment date ?

Hi,

1. As per what i have noticied Request date is the date wehn the order is entered. And Schedule Ship Date is calculated considering the Lead Time entered for the item. SSD is calculated to let the Customer know when we would be Shipping the Item to him.

2. Scheduling is just calculating the number of days it wil take to Manufacture or Procure the Item. Reservation basically means that we have created a supply (PO) or we already have inventory in stock which we would want to reserve so that, that item is shipped on another order. You can see the reservation in Order Form in Shipping Tab and if you click Tools and Scheduling Details -- you will be able to see the supply for that order as well..

3. As mentioned SSD is calculated based on the Lead Times entered during Item Creation. and Request date is date when the Order is Created.
