GL Account Security rule is not restricting entry

Post by kishorebhupati »

Hi,

I have defined GL Security rule for range of Accounts and attached it to specific Responsibility, still when i am trying to enter JE though selecting the account it is allowing.
What steps probably i am missing in defining security rules.

Thanks

Check whether you have checked the 'Security Enabled' checkbox for the segment for which security rules are created.

navigation: Setup --> Financials --> Flexfields --> Key --> Segments --> Go to the flexfield structure and then Click Segments --> Go to the segments and click 'Open'.

Before doing the security rules you must ensure the following options needs to be checked.
1."Security Enabled" at segment level which you created rules for the segment.

Steps: Setup>Financilas>Flexfileds,Key,Segments

place the cursor in segment which u defined the rules and click on open button.

2. Review valueset which u attched ur segment that u selected for rules and verify the security type is no security or non hierarchal securty or hierarchal security but should,nt be a no security

Setup> Financials>Flexfields>key>Validation>Sets

3. And verify ur security rules active or deactive

Please let me know if it is wrong any other reson is there.

Regards,

Srinivas
