GL Segments Hierarchichal Report

Asalam-o-Alaikum
I want help in making a hierarchical report in General Ledger. I want a hierarchy wise report showing full parent child relationship of any desired segment. I have used the connect by clause but am not able to get the desired result.
I would appreciate it if any one can share his experience on this.
