Grades, Grade Rates & Salary definitation

Post by mamajid »

Dear All

I am trying to setup Grade Rates for Grade to define salary rages for employee being hired.

After defining grade rates, i introduced new employee and saved it. then i defined his assignments and save it. Then I came to salary administrator form and defined his salary above the range of Grade i defined for this employee just to see how oracle stops out of the range salary definition. But it didnt do any thing and allow me to insert salary out of the rage successfully.

Can any one tell where i am mistaking.

Regards

Hi mamajid,

Creating Grade Rate does not stop you to assign higher salary
It is used only for calculating the allowances at run time
noting that the allowances(elements' input values) are not
user enterable. It will be calculated only through formula at
run time rading the value frim grade rate table

Dear Majid,

It should give you a warning if you are not within the salary grade, but it is not an error. Though, you can customize that to provide an error when salary is not in range.

Best Regards,
