Archana... I am little bit confuse about what are u asking for... Item Receiving is part of Oracle Purchasing not part of Oracle Inventory... So when you receive items in receiving...system generats below mentioned entry...in Oracle Purchasing DR Receiving Inventory A/C CR Inventory AP Accrual A/C W...

Neraj...Trial balance summary 2 segregate the Account value on the basis of company , departments etc. Please make me correct if I am wrong.
In my opinion, keke have to make FGS for consolidation purpose with display option as BOTH.

when open new calender in GL, only effect is the carry forward of Balance sheet s account balances, while P&L accounts will not be effected.

Agree with Ramesh...Inventory holds FG info. Auto process from AR reduces FG lnventory levels.
If you are implementing only AR (inventory not included) than only item info qty, UOM is captured by AR, but now it's a manual process. don't have effect on inventory.

Consolidation is GL specific. Transaction from AR,AP and other financial / transaction modules have to be posted to GL.
