Hi Thiyagu

You have to assign item categories, system items, master items

Perform miselleneous transactions

Hi,

you can share items across operating units. Create an item master org and when ever you define an org under differnt operating units , select the same item master org.

By creating a Item master org first and assigning the same in the org parameters while defing org's under operating units.

Hope my answer is satisfactory for you

Customer items are the items specfic to the Customer say you have some item called HP laptop as your customer item and the same can be associated with a item number in Inventory.

Mostly customer items are imported through interfaces from any legacy system. you can associate the customer items to Inventory item through Customer item cross reference screen in the Inventory.

They are interfaces avaliable for customer items in Oracle Inventory to import.
